Every manufacturer solves the same engineering problems in a slightly different way, and those decisions are what a technician is really reading when the panel comes off. Liebherr is known for refrigeration specialists: integrated columns, wine cabinets and cellars with very tight temperature control. Each of those choices moves the wear onto something: a circuit board, a seal, or a motor that runs longer at a lower speed. Knowing where the wear lands is the difference between going straight to the correct circuit with a meter and spending an afternoon exchanging parts to see what helps.

It also affects what is worth doing. On some platforms a control board is a routine replacement. On others, that same board is the most expensive item in the appliance, and the sensor feeding information to it is what has actually failed. Parts and what appears on your invoice

We install genuine Liebherr parts wherever the supply chain still carries them, which across the current range it generally does. Discontinued part numbers do turn up on older units and on imported models more often than owners expect. When that happens, we tell you before we order anything, and we explain why the equivalent part is either the better choice or the only one available. Whichever part we install, its number is printed on your invoice so that anyone can look it up later.

Our labor is guaranteed for thirty days. The part carries whatever warranty the manufacturer provides. Both of those appear in writing rather than being described to you at the door.

Finding your model number before you call

One piece of information makes the whole conversation shorter, and that is the model number printed on the rating plate. On Liebherr appliances, the plate may be attached to the frame the door closes against, underneath the lower kick panel, along the side of a drawer runner, or on the rear of the cabinet, depending on which appliance you have. If the plate is worn or awkward to reach, photograph it with your phone and read the number back to us, since a camera copes with faded printing better than the eye does. Add a plain description of what the appliance does when you run it, including any code shown on the display and the point in the cycle where it stops, and we can usually send the technician out already carrying the right part.
